How to Reach the Kazmer Faculty of Széchenyi István University (Mosonmagyaróvár)

Airport Transfer Service (Door-to-Door)

Upon request, the organizers can arrange an airport transfer from Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport and Vienna–Schwechat International Airport to Mosonmagyaróvár. The transfer service takes passengers directly from the airport to their accommodation or to the buildings of the Kazmer Faculty.

The price of the transfer depends on the number of passengers travelling together and on luggage. When possible, the organizers will try to arrange shared transfers for participants arriving at similar times.

Ticket Purchase Information (Important)

• Tickets for public transport and trains can typically be purchased via mobile applications and/or from ticket vending machines at stations.
• In Budapest, on most public transport services (metro, tram, bus), there is generally no option to buy tickets with cash directly from the driver.
• Please plan ahead and obtain the required tickets before boarding (especially for metro and trains).

1) Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport → Mosonmagyaróvár

a) Airport bus + train (most economical option)

• Airport bus (200E) to a railway/metro connection: approx. 2,200 HUF
• Train from Budapest to Mosonmagyaróvár: approx. 4,060–6,000 HUF
• Total cost: approx. 8,000 HUF / person
• Travel time: approx. 2.5–3 hours
• Advantages: low cost
• Note: requires transfers

Route overview:

1. Step #1 – From the Airport to Budapest City: Take bus 200E from the airport to Kőbánya-Kispest station (travel time: approx. 25 minutes).
2. Step #2 – From Kőbánya-Kispest to Kelenföld Railway Station: Take Metro line M3 (blue line) towards the city center, then transfer and continue by metro or train to Kelenföld Railway Station.
3. Step #3 – From Kelenföld to Mosonmagyaróvár Railway Station: Direct or connecting trains are available (travel time: approx. 1.5–2 hours).
4. Step #4 – From Mosonmagyaróvár Railway Station to City Hall (local bus): Take a local bus to the City Hall stop. The Kazmer Faculty buildings are within a short walking distance.

b) Private transfer / taxi (comfortable but more expensive)

• Price: approx. 100,000 HUF one-way
• Travel time: approx. 1 hour 40 minutes – 2 hours
• Advantages: direct door-to-door service; ideal for late/early flights or large luggage
• Disadvantages: higher cost

2) Vienna–Schwechat International Airport → Mosonmagyaróvár

a) Private airport transfer

• Price: approx. 40,000–50,000 HUF one-way
• Travel time: approx. 50 minutes
• Advantages: direct door-to-door transport; no transfers required
• Recommended for: passengers with a lot of luggage or late/early flights

b) Public transport + train

• Vienna–Schwechat Airport → Vienna Central Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof): Railjet / S-Bahn (S7) or City Airport Train (CAT) (approx. 15–25 minutes).
• Vienna Central Station → Mosonmagyaróvár Railway Station: Direct or connecting trains (Railjet, EuroCity, or regional services) (approx. 1–1.5 hours).
• Mosonmagyaróvár Railway Station → City Hall (local bus): Take a local bus to the City Hall stop; the Kazmer Faculty buildings are within a short walk.
• Total travel time: approx. 2.5–3 hours
• Cost: lower than private transfer, but transfers are required
