Special Issue of the Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications
Registered authors of VOCAL 2026 are invited to submit a paper to the special issue of the of the Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications . Submissions are now open; see detailed instructions below.
Manuscript Submission Instructions
Authors submitting a manuscript to the conference special issue should follow the steps below.

Open the journal website
Visit the Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications website using the link above. Select the “Submit your manuscript” option to access the journal’s online submission system.

Sign in to the submission system
Manuscripts must be submitted through Springer’s online submission system. Sign in using an existing account and select the Author role. Authors who do not yet have an account must complete the registration process before proceeding.

Start a new manuscript submission
After signing in, select “Submit New Manuscript” to begin a new submission.

Select the appropriate article type
In the “Select Article Type” section, choose the following option:
“SI: The impact of 4*50 years research in mathematical optimization”
Selecting this article type is essential to ensure that the manuscript is assigned to the special issue associated with VOCAL 2026.

Complete and submit the manuscript
Continue with the standard submission procedure. Provide all requested manuscript information, upload the required files, review the entered details carefully, and complete the submission.
Authors should ensure that their manuscript complies with the journal’s current formatting, ethical, and submission requirements before final submission.
Important Note
Authors are responsible for selecting the correct special-issue article type. Manuscripts submitted under a different article type may not be assigned automatically to the VOCAL 2026 special issue.
